Design Director, Jack Health (6 month freelance contract)
London, England, United Kingdom
The Jack Morton London office is looking for a freelance Design Director to lead the design of immersive and experiential spaces across our Jack Health accounts . The role is for an initial 6 Month PAYE Contract. As the lead Design Director you will be responsible for working closely with an extended creative team to deliver a broad set of projects across the year which will include exhibitions, live events and immersive activations. The Design Director will be part of the Jack Health team and incorporated into Jack Morton London’s wider creative team which consists of an eclectic mix of Designers and Creatives. Wide experience of experiential projects is required and a proven knowledge of exhibition work is a must. The role requires a passion for technology, innovation and content alongside the core skill of 3D Design. Great people skills are required to communicate to, enthuse and inspire the wider team and, importantly, to make a close connection with our clients.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of the client, their brand, culture and sensibilities
- Respond to briefs with enthusiasm and creative thinking
- Whilst being respectful of the client’s brand and culture, challenge every brief to ensure all output lives up to Jack Morton’s aim to ‘Be Extraordinary’
- Present your ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients.
- Be a vocal participant in the development of the creative brief and partner with the strategy team to ensure the work delivers on the brief.
- Partner with account and production leadership to ensure your ideas deliver on business objectives and are as powerful in reality as they were when pitched.
- Collaborate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Take ownership of the creative product that leaves the office, continually critiquing the quality of all creative output on assigned projects.
- Create cutting edge, contemporary design solutions
- Hand sketch or CGI scamp ideas for internal discussion
- Create CGI visuals in Cinema 4D
- Create Design Intent packs in Vectorworks
Skills and Expertise
- 5+ years of overall experience of designing exhibition stands and immersive experiences
- A sound practical knowledge of exhibition stand and set design practicality
- Engaging presentation skills, with a track record of successfully selling and executing brave creative ideas
- An unwavering curiosity for creative and cultural innovation
- An unmatched passion and energy for your craft, for Jack Health and for brand experience
