Nielsen recently released media usage numbers for the average American and the most jarring thing about it is this: Americans are logging only about an hour a day using the internet on their computers. Shocking for the desk-jockeys sweating away in cubicles creating content for, well, for themselves (since they’re on the internet from a desktop all day, it’s easy to assume everyone else is as well). Don’t let your brand get caught navel gazing—create your content, offers, and promos for the platforms your customers and prospects are on, not the ones you use @ work.
