The Obama campaign has created a compelling experience to attract new, grassroots (meaning not rich) donors. Using social networks and a heavy email campaign, the Obama campaign is soliciting donations as small as $5 for a chance to win one of four places at the dinner table. That’s compelling; at least it was for me… I’m entered to win.
Then today, there’s a “big deal” update, announced in an online video by Mr. President. The news? Joe Biden is going to be there too!
I respect our Vice President, but that’s kind of like saying “You’re entered to win the trip on the Space Shuttle… AND if you win, you’ll also get an iPad 2!” Also a nice prize, but poorly positioned.
