Smyth Jewelers is a Maryland-based jewelry retailer that is represented by MGH, Inc., a Modern Marketing agency in Owings Mills, Maryland. Smyth’s most recent campaign creatively incorporated famous Baltimoreans Mr. Boh (Natural Bohemian) and Miss Salie Utz (Utz snacks) to stress that Smyth is “Where Maryland Gets Engaged.”

MGH, Inc. created the animated TV commercial for Smyth Jewelers to reiterate that Smyth is “Where Maryland Gets Engaged.” The spot shows the meeting, courtship, engagement, and nuptials of the famous couple while highlighting some of Maryland’s landmarks.
After a long engagement, Mr. Boh and Miss Salie Utz finally wed as a kick-off event for Smyth’s second annual Baltimore Diamond Dash. The social media scavenger hunt provided clues to participating couples to rack up the most points to win the $20k diamond engagement ring provided by Smyth Jewelers. The scavenger hunt took couples to some of Baltimore’s premier wedding destinations and landmarks. All in all, it was a great event that made a lot of sense for the client and its partners, as well as an incredibly memorable experience for participants!
