Netflix and Qwikster, the next chapter
Netflix created a loyal base of users that became accustomed to the company’s smart business model and nimble customer service. This week CEO Reed Hastings announced he had made a mistake, but continued to move forward spinning off the DVD business (now named Qwikster). It’s no surprise that once-fans of the company are turning into a vocal disgruntled mass. The spin-off feels poorly planned, and as this article mentions, there is no website and the twitter handle is already taken. Some are predicting this as a misstep that may lead to the downfall of the internet giant…we’ll just have to wait and see what the next chapter has in store.
