Richard Hamilton, the British artist considered to be a founding father of pop art, has died.
In one of those great paradoxes of the modern era, folks in the advertising world have simultaneously drawn inspiration from his cool aesthetic and been the implicit target of his over 50-year critique of out of control consumption.
