Whether you love them, or hate them, you have to admit that the Kardashians have created a stellar brand. It is a brand that appeals to so many different audiences, is talked about in magazines, and can basically market itself throughout the show.
The Kardashians joined with Entertainment News, (better known as E!), in 2007 for a reality show. Since then, Keeping Up with the Kardashians not only gives a viewer an insight into Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe’s lives, but a voyage into all of their business ventures. When they decided to open a clothing store, D-A-S-H, the show dedicated an entire episode to the grand opening of the store. Viewers now are able to purchase clothes that their favorite reality television stars handpicked, talk about a marketers dream. From the success of the show and store, E! created several spinoffs in direct relation to the opening of D-A-S-H.
One of the things that made the Kardashians famous was their style. So why not have a show, where you can see their fashion and then be able to go and buy clothes so you can look just like them! They also branched out to the entire country by starting a label with Sears called The Kardashian Kollection. Now rabid Kardashian fans don’t have to fly to New York, Miami, or Calabasas, to get their fix of Kardashian clothing.
