Broadcast Design
Jack Morton’s broadcast design team collaborated with Peter Blangiforti from FOX News Media to envision a geodesic dome as the central focus in the FOX Weather studio which houses the SKYDOME, a beautifully arched structure with a wood basket weave frame, color changing ribbons and a large 32×9 LED Media Wall.
This dome is the hub for the main weather broadcast with circular arches influenced by weather patterns on a map that radiate into the studio. The space is bright and contemporary. The ribbons span the entire room connecting the SKYDOME to other areas including a command center, demo area, mobile touch screen, and two presentation areas with one wall that spans two large 16:9 tracking LED screens, all providing maximum versatility for weather coverage.
