NYC downtown loft meets W hotel.
We had an opportunity to pitch new designs for NFL on CBS. We had to reimagine what this environment could be—granted, we designed the last two iterations of the set which evoked a more glassy, slick, and modern feel. This time around, CBS wanted it to be more authentic to its football roots. Something more raw and organic. So we decided to create an industrial loft-like design.
NYC downtown loft meets W hotel.
We created large floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of a generic football field. The walls now echoed a prewar Soho loft with exposed stone work, metal framework and wood beams. We wanted CBS football to have a WOW moment so we designed a two-story video wall as their main background, which is also used for stand-ups and seeping jib shots. The space now feels large and open and now with multiple areas to shoot from, CBS is re-imagining how they shoot the show. Thanks to the new designs, the overall show now feels faster and fresher.
