Games Developer Conference 2022
A large-scale LED structure that brought to life Unity’s products on the outside, with a content streaming booth on the inside
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is an annual event that brings the gaming community together and showcases the latest innovations. After the pandemic pause, GDC was back for 2022 in the Moscone Centre, San Francisco.
We were tasked to design a one-of-a-kind experience to position Unity at the foremost games development platform and to publicize their acquisition of Weta, one of the world’s leading special effects studios.
So we created an eye-catching experience that drew audiences in via The Infinity Cube, a large-scale LED structure that brought to life Unity’s products on the outside, with a content streaming booth on the inside.
Once on the stand, visitors from games studios of all sizes – AAA to Indie – had the opportunity to further their knowledge and hone their skills by getting hands-on with Unity’s products and chatting to their experts.
Unity’s experience attracted over 6,000 visitors and had an average dwell time of over 10 minutes. Converting visitors from passer-bys to engaged fans reached 32% – far above the industry average.
