Driving sentiment with NBA Fans

The 74th installment of the NBA All Star Game took place in Meta’s backyard of the Bay Area.

As the Official VR Headset of the NBA, Meta’s goal was to integrate priority products, build relationships, and drive sentiment with activations throughout the weekend across a variety of events.

At NBA Fan Fest at the Moscone Center, Meta hosted a consumer facing event featuring Quest Courtside Viewing Demos to influence fans of the NBA to demo and purchase a Meta Quest. Meanwhile, The Meta Spot was a place for execs, partners and influencers to mingle, demo and eat great food in the hopes of drumming up more business down the line. This included demos for Meta Quest, Ray Ban Meta, and Meta AI. Both experiences featured a commissioned piece from Meta’s collaboration with the artist, Gabe Gault.

Impact

The All Star Game was a resulted in a great experience for the Meta brand. NBA fans had a ball with the Meta Quest Demos and took thousands of pictures inside Meta’s photobooth which they could share on their social channels.
