VR Sports Studio
A virtual set with boundless flexibility
Our design team partnered with Amazon Prime to revolutionize the look for its European football Premier League/Champions League show, Every Game Every Goal. What’s extraordinary is that the environment is an entirely virtual set – though you can’t always tell by looking at it. The rented 1600 square foot green screen studio became a 10,000 square foot virtual stage with infinite possibilities. Unlike other VR sets, which can look more like 3D graphics without definition, this set feels real due to the design approach – the careful plotting of staging and camera relationships, the lighting, and the powerful rendering software.
The result is an expansive multi-level sports pavilion where talent can play inside or outside, a stunning landscape with changeable city views, time of day control, and numerous opportunities for motivated AR. We helped transform the humble conversation show into a powerhouse of sports coverage, and with boundless flexibility to change and evolve.
Virtual studio designs are an emerging technology and trend that continues to evolve in the broadcast space, and with this blend between physical elements, lighting, and virtual backgrounds, Amazon Prime Every Game Every Goal is one of best examples of the craft that we have worked on to date (2025).
