Jack Morton Sydney x Global Sisters

Jack Morton connects brands to the people who matter most to them. And the organization Global Sisters connects women with the tools they need to start and grow a business. Helen Graney of the Jack Morton Sydney office used her expertise to help someone through Global Sisters. Helen mentored a refugee from Sierra Leone, Yarrie Bangura.

Yarrie, who is working to build her ginger drink business, Aunty’s Ginger Tonic, worked with the support of Helen and the Jack Sydney office to help her create marketing materials for the product. The Sydney staff held a tasting session of her ginger tonics and offered feedback, and one of the interns on the design team provided visual assets for the brand.

Her ginger tonic is currently being distributed across Sydney. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, “Bangura aims to employ refugees via Settlement Services International to work in her small Marrickville factory. Her dream is to take the brand global, creating employment, supporting Australian organic farmers.” Her business has been so successful she was even invited to speak at International Women’s Day for CMG. You can read more about Yarrie’s story and her ginger tonics.

Thanks to Global Sisters for the opportunity to help!
