We hope you’ve already gotten your tickets for Jack’s workshop at SXSW 2015, Why Editorial Calendars Make Your Content Suck! on Sunday, March 15th.

We asked Cara Adelman, our Creative Director on the West Coast, what she was most excited about. Here’s what she had to say:

I am most excited really about the possibility of wearing cowboy boots while listening to the infinite wisdom that Ryan Gosling will spew during his session. Kidding…sort of.

Getting inspired at Featured Sessions: My personal favorite experience at these large scale conferences is getting to see different worlds merge and the conversations that come out of them. Attending sessions that mix up business minded CEOs with celebrities and tech founders is always interesting. Some examples of the ones that I’m into: Timothy Ferris and the Founder of Wanelo coming together for ”Siberia to Millions of Users” or “The VEEP Speaks” with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Anne Fulenwider (the editor in chief of Marie Claire).

The SXSW App: (Yes, really!) Only a brand experience nerd would be excited about really getting to use this SXSW app, but man is it comprehensive. I have been staring at it nightly just hoping that it will function as well on site as it has thus far. So far it’s the best pre-event in-app experience I have ever had (although there is always room for improvement). I’m feeling connected and completely scheduled!

Upright Citizens Brigade: “ASSSSCAT” will be playing almost nightly during the conference. It is one of the longest running audience immersive improv shows and even has critical acclaim. Looking forward to laughing and hopefully also crying while laughing.

Some Future Talk:  There are hundreds of sessions, workshops and conversations at SXSW on THE FUTURE of [fill in the blank], but one particular scheduled conversation struck my fancy, “Defining the next Generation retail experience”. It boasts a strong line up from the CMO of Sephora to the Founder of Stitch fix, all women with their eye on the prize…and the future.

Sounds like Cara is going to have a packed schedule, full of learning and fun (cowboy boots, yee haw!). What do you have planned for the event?
